FOOD IN TREK
During the lodge trek: Base of meals are, rice, noodles, potatoes, (porridge for breakfast). all are slow-sugar, its the best food for well walking. In lodge-trek the lunch is taken in lodges on the way ( hot meal). The guide order the food. During the tent trek: Good and fresh food are prepared by cook with team of trekking staffs on tent.

Trekking program

D.1. Arrival in Kathmandu, welcome at the airport and transfer to hotel.
D.2. Kathmandu free day.
D.3. Leaving Kathmandu in plane for NEPALGANG (1h). Views on the Annapurnas, Dhaulagiris, Manaslu et 2nd flight of 45mn for JUPHAL. (Flights can be delayed according to climatic conditions)
D.4. JUPHAL 2550m, short stop and descent (3h) up to DUNAI (2150m), capital of DOLPO.
D.5. DUNAI, leaving by the river BARBUNG KHOLA, for THARAKOT, the beginning of Buddhist country where appear the first stupas. (about 5h of walk). Fortress to be visited.
D.6. We quit Tharakot by following the gorges of TARAP and by the numerous forests we join LAHINI (3200m) after about 5 hours of walk.
D.7. Leaving LAHINI for NAURE ODAR at 3100m, numerous caves.
D.8. Leaving NAURE ODAR to join DHO TARAP (4000m), the most important village of TARAP valley known as "valley of good horses". To arrive in DHO - difficult path - about 7 hours of uphill walk. The vegetation becomes rarefied.
D.9. Rest day in DHO TARAP and acclimatization to altitude, visit of the village of Tibetan origin with 2 big active monasteries.
D.10. Leaving in the direction of NUN LA, regular climb, last Tibetan temples. Camping at an altitude of 4100m.
D.11. After about 2 h of walk, first high pass at 5200m, NUN LA PASS (the pass of salt). Superb views on the Annapurnas, Dhaulagiris and Nilgiris. Camp according to the freshness of spirit at about 4200m, slow walk of 4 h.
D.12. Crossing of the pass of BAGLA LA (5090m) and descent towards the Tibetan village of RINGMO and the magnificient lake of PHOKSUNDO where we visit the monastery of TESU.
D.13. Rest day in RINGMO. This village is inhabited by the "Bothias" of Tibetan and Magar origin. The "Bon" monastery of TESU (ancient pre-Buddhist religion of Tibet), guides all aspects of life of the village.
D.14. We meet again the vegetation, cultivated fields and Tibetan villages on descending by the river SULI GAD towards CHEPKA village.
D.15. Leaving CHEPKA to join DUNAÏ. We will certainly encounter the salt carrying Tibetan caravans on the way. This is often done on the pack-saddle of goats or mules.
D.16. Return to JUFAL (uphill walk of about 3 hours) and flight for NEPALGANG. (Flight can sometimes be delayed by one or two days).
D.17. Flight NEPALGANG to KATHMANDU.
D.18. Kathmandu free day.
D.19. Transfer to airport 3 hours before your plane leaving time

PRICE INCLUDES : Trek in Full board after departure by plane from Nepalganj and to Nepalganj. All trek in tent, nepali trek team with english speaking professional guide. Cook and kitchen boy to prepare all the meals and porters carry all the baggage. The domestic flights Kathmandou- Nepalganj -Juphal and Juphal-Nepalganj- Kathmandu includes . Permits of trekking and of national park . IN KATHMANDU: Reception at airport to 2 star hotel with breakfast. Reconfirmation of your return tickets.

Price not include: Your insurance. Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu and Nepalganj. The drinks (out of tea or coffee during breakfast). Entrance fees of the monuments, cities and museums, nepali visa (30 dollars in cash) and the airport taxes, your insurance, plane tickets form your country.

NOTE: The flights Kathmandu-Nepalganj-Juphal and vice versa can be delayed by 1 to 2 days due to climatic conditions. Our Company canot be responsble in the delay due to climate problem.

INSURNANCE
All participant have to give a cop of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance . This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in case of accident or sickness during trekking. In case of your insurance don't accept helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu and take responsibility that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses paid by Nepal Ecology Green Treks for your helicopter rescue or research. Without this aggrement, you cannot participate fott the trek. All our guides and porters are insured and fully equiped.
