During the lodge trek: Base of meals are, rice, noodles, potatoes, (porridge for breakfast). all are slow-sugar, its the best food for well walking. In lodge-trek the lunch is taken in lodges on the way ( hot meal). The guide order the food. During the tent trek: Good and fresh food are prepared by cook with team of trekking staffs on tent.

Trekking Kathmandu Valley in ancient Villages and Touristic Place from Kathmandu to Daman

Trekking Program

Day 1. Kathmandu, Arrival in Kathmandu, welcome and transfer to hotel in center Thamel.
Day 2. Kathmandu visits, visit accompanied by professonal English speaking guide, visit of of Pashupatinath (Hindu), Swayambunath (Hindu and Buddhist) and Boudhnath, pilgrims, tibetians come to pray.
Day 3. Kathmandu - Pharping : Departure from Kathmandu to Bungamati by privage vehicle Visite of Bungamati, a beautiful village newari or one recovers sculptors on wood, follow-up by the visit of the village of Khokana or women spin and weave wool. These two villages are medieval pace. We will leave on foot for the village of Pharping or be the famous Underground cave of Padmasambhaba (Guru Rimpoche), and Ashura Cellar, and the monastery of Dhang Chholing Gumba or be the Vajra Yoghini (Buddhist symbol).
Day 4. Pharping visits: Visit of the temple Dakshin Kali (temple of the Kali goddess or take place of animal sacrifices the Tuesday and Saturday) to the south of Kathmandu. These sacrifices take place to calm the bloodthirsty thirst of the Kali goddess and so that the Saturday (ominous day for animals) doesn't take place too pain. About hundred Népalais give back of it visit with flowers, fruits and incenses to sacrifice chickens and young goats offered to Kali so that she/it achieves their wishes.
Day 5. Pharping visits :Visit of a Danuwar village (particular ethnie) and of other village with landscapes of cultures in magnificent terraces (picnic to noon). Night in hotel.
Day 6. Pharping - Markhu :Departure on foot of Pharping for Markhu (stage of 5h of march) via Kulekhani, Phurandi and Phakal (villages typical of the Tamangses, Newarses, Chetrises and Bramanses). One can see of it a big dam of water restraint for electricity. Night in lodge to Markhu
Day 7. Markhu - Daman :Departure by private vehicle to Palung and visit of the village. After noon departure on foot (2h1/2) for Daman. Daman is one of the better and big point of view on chain himalayenne. Night in Daman hotel.
Day 8. Daman :Visit of the Temple Rikeshwar and a village of Tamang ethnie, if the sky is clear us can see the big tops; Annapurnas, Machhapuchare etc.. Night in hotel.
Day 9. Daman - Palung :Departure of Daman on foot 2h, visit of the Newari village of Palung. Night in lodge.
Day 10. Palung - Kathmandu :Departure of Palung for Kathmandu in private vehicle (4h). All along the journey, of the scenery superb of cultures in terraces and drills, it is the deep Nepal.
Day 11. Kathmandu visits :Visit of Bakthapur and Shangunarayan. Night in hotel in Kathmandu
Day 12. Kathmandu Free day:
Day 13. Transfer to airport 3 hours before your plane leaving time

Price include: 2 stars hotel with with breakfast in Kathmandu, During trek night in simple Lodges, visit of indicated places, sightseeing in Kathmandu valley, indicated transportation, english speaking guide, Welcome at the airport and the transfers hotel. Lodging in monasteries in rooms simple. Reconfirmation of the tickets return.

INSURNANCE
All participant have to give a cop of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance . This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in case of accident or sickness during trekking. In case of your insurance don't accept helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu and take responsibility that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses paid by Nepal Ecology Green Treks for your helicopter rescue or research. Without this aggrement, you cannot participate fott the trek. All our guides and porters are insured and fully equiped.
